THE DESIGNER
Sophie Rose Bridal was created to design wedding gowns for the brides who to feel completely themselves, in the most special, romantic and comfortable way. Each gown is made to measure in my rural Hampshire studio, thoughtfully designed around the woman who will wear it. From a favourite fabric or neckline to the smallest treasured detail, every element can be considered and reimagined to create a gown that feels truly personal. Romantic yet relaxed, the dresses are designed to feel as beautiful in movement as they do in stillness.
Before launching Sophie Rose Bridal, I worked in the wedding industry, altering and crafting wedding gowns for Nortier and within the fashion industry with the luxury label Libelula. Working within both industries sparked my desire to offer something different – a bridal brand that embodies natural elegance and relaxed beauty, crafted with premium fabrics and exceptional skill, all while being proudly made in Britain.
The most rewarding aspect of my work now, is the opportunity to connect with remarkable women – and witness their joy and confidence in finding their dress. This experience never ceases to inspire me. Today, every gown is lovingly crafted in my rural Hampshire studio, using beautiful, carefully chosen fabrics and traditional craftsmanship. I believe luxury is found in the details: the quality of a fabric, the way a skirt falls, the delicacy of a hand-finished detail, and most importantly, the way a bride feels when she puts her dress on.
Designing wedding dresses is a passion, as these gowns are more than just clothing—they symbolise a cherished moment, filled with emotions and memories that families will treasure and reminisce about for years to come. With this in mind, many of my gowns are designed with a sense of longevity and versatility. Where possible, a dress can be adapted after the wedding — shortened, dyed or reworked — allowing it to become something new and continue to be worn and loved long after the day itself.
Because a beautiful dress should not simply belong to one moment. It should become part of your story.
THE DRESSES
Each gown from the Sophie Rose Bridal collections is lovingly made to order in my Hampshire studio, allowing elements, fabrics and details from across the collections to be thoughtfully combined and adapted. This means that while you may fall in love with a particular silhouette or detail, your gown can be shaped around you, creating something that feels entirely personal and unique.
I believe a wedding dress should feel as beautiful to wear as it looks. Comfort is at the heart of my designs, with soft, carefully chosen fabrics and considered construction that allows the gown to move naturally with the body. You won’t find restrictive boning or uncomfortable fabrics here. Instead, I design with the whole day in mind — from walking down the aisle and embracing loved ones, to sitting down for dinner and dancing late into the evening.
I am deeply considered in my choice of fabrics, seeking out beautiful materials that are made from natural fibres or recycled wherever possible. For me, sustainability and luxury can sit naturally alongside one another. I also keep every usable piece of fabric from each gown, giving these smaller remnants a new purpose in future dresses, toiles or thoughtful accessories for my brides. Nothing beautiful should go to waste.
The Sophie Rose Bridal aesthetic is effortless, ethereal and romantic, with a timelessness that feels at home in the countryside. I love soft textures, graceful silhouettes and beautiful details that reveal themselves slowly, rather than anything that feels overly done.
Ultimately, I want every bride to feel completely herself in her gown — comfortable, beautiful and quietly extraordinary. A dress that feels special enough for the occasion, yet natural enough to feel like her.
